Ástriður Jósefina Ólafsdóttir & Clizia Macchi - Art Exhibition / Open Studio

Ástriður Jósefina Ólafsdóttir and Clizia Macchi have decided to join in a duo pop up exhibition / open studio / common creative space in the ex Þula Gallery.

Although of different nationalities and not knowing each other until a few years ago, these two artistis have lot in common: both born in artists families and grown up in small villages in central Italy, the passion for aerial sports and the desire for a new start culminated with their moving to Iceland around the same time.

For a period of time they had studios at the same address and naturally a dialogue around their personal creative path has emerged and strongly developed over time, culminating with the idea of a making a project together.

During theis time a selection of old and new paintings will be exposed and available for sale, and a new joint project will be started and completed during their “residence” in the space.

The exhibition will be open from Wednesday to Saturday, from 1pm to 5pm, and by appointment outside opening hours.

The official opening event will be held on Saturday 13th of May.
